Mercure Melbourne Albert Park Hotel, Melbourne

My stay at the hotel was quite disappointing overall. While the room was acceptably dark and comfortable for sleep, it was not cleaned properly, and the common areas felt neglected. I was frustrated that housekeeping didn't service my room until late in the afternoon, despite it being promised. On a positive note, the blockout curtains helped me sleep well. However, I'd say the cleanliness needs serious improvement.

I had high hopes for my stay, but I was left quite disappointed. The location near Albert Park was convenient, and I appreciated the lovely decor in my room, but cleanliness and maintenance were significant issues. The dining experience was pleasant, but some staff interactions left a sour note. Overall, my experience did not reflect the standards I expected.

The hotel is a decent option for a quick getaway, with a good price point for what you get. The Mercure tower offers spacious rooms, though they do fall short compared to the Pullman standard. The staff is welcoming, but some areas, like the hallways in the Mercure Tower, are in dire need of updates. Overall, it's acceptable for a 3-star hotel, but I wouldn't recommend it for those expecting luxury.
