Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the hotel was quite disappointing overall. While the room was acceptably dark and comfortable for sleep, it was not cleaned properly, and the common areas felt neglected. I was frustrated that housekeeping didn't service my room until late in the afternoon, despite it being promised. On a positive note, the blockout curtains helped me sleep well. However, I'd say the cleanliness needs serious improvement.
I had high hopes for my stay, but I was left quite disappointed. The location near Albert Park was convenient, and I appreciated the lovely decor in my room, but cleanliness and maintenance were significant issues. The dining experience was pleasant, but some staff interactions left a sour note. Overall, my experience did not reflect the standards I expected.
The hotel is a decent option for a quick getaway, with a good price point for what you get. The Mercure tower offers spacious rooms, though they do fall short compared to the Pullman standard. The staff is welcoming, but some areas, like the hallways in the Mercure Tower, are in dire need of updates. Overall, it's acceptable for a 3-star hotel, but I wouldn't recommend it for those expecting luxury.
The hotel has a lovely location just outside the city, which I enjoyed. However, my recent stay was marred by slow check-in times and a room that badly needed refurbishing. While the amenities were decent, the lack of a clear fire plan was concerning. Overall, I feel like my experience didn't match my expectations for this hotel.
I found the hotel to be quite conveniently located across from Albert Park and close to St Kilda. The rooms were generally clean and spacious, which worked well for my family, but they definitely need some updating. The dining experience was excellent with a fantastic breakfast buffet. However, my check-in experience was less than ideal, as I encountered delays and some concerns about safety during a fire alarm situation.
